Nio reports Q3 delivery growth and Geely partnership

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Nio reported a significant increase in vehicle deliveries for the third quarter of 2026, totaling 109,178 units, a 25.4 percent increase compared to the previous year. For the first nine months of the year, total deliveries reached 300,301 vehicles, up 49.2 percent year-on-year.

September data showed a mixed performance across Nio’s brand portfolio. While the core Nio brand saw a 55.3 percent increase in deliveries compared to the same month last year, the Onvo brand experienced a 42.5 percent decline. Overall September deliveries rose by 7.7 percent to 37,408 units.

In a strategic move to expand its energy and charging infrastructure, Nio has reached an agreement with Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. Under the deal, Nio will transfer a 30 percent stake in NIO Power to a Geely subsidiary. In exchange, Nio will receive 640 million RMB in cash and a full stake in Yiyi Internet Technology (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. Following the transaction, NIO China will retain a 63.6 percent interest in NIO Power.
