Nippan Techseed Cancels 2026 Insect Festival at Aeon Mall Makuhari, Japan

Nippan Techseed Co., Ltd., led by President Tetsu Fujisawa, announced that the "Tanken Insect Festival" planned for August 8‑16 2026 has been cancelled due to venue constraints at Aeon Mall Makuhari Shintoshin in Chiba, Japan. The company apologized to attendees and expressed appreciation for understanding.

The festival was to feature hands‑on educational activities, a figure‑collecting experience to build personal insect dioramas, and collaborations with Aeon Mall, the Ookuwa Kyoto Insect Museum, and sponsors such as Sweden House and Sony Music Entertainment. Ticket prices were set at ¥800 for adults and ¥1,200 for children, with free admission for infants and accompanying caregivers for ticket‑holding disabled visitors.
