Nippon Calmic holds beach cleanup and surfing event with pro surfer Shino Matsuda

Nippon Calmic Co., Ltd. organized an environmental conservation and employee engagement event at Shizunami Coast and Shizunami Surf Stadium in Shizuoka Prefecture. The initiative featured professional surfer Shino Matsuda, whom the company has sponsored since February 2024.

During the event, 23 employees participated in a beach cleaning activity, collecting 5.72 kg of waste, including small plastic fragments, vinyl pieces, and cigarette butts. Following the cleanup, employees attended a surfing workshop led by Matsuda and professional instructors, which included a riding demonstration by the athlete.

The company stated that the event aimed to deepen employee understanding of marine environmental issues and the sport of surfing, while also promoting corporate well-being and inter-departmental communication. Nippon Calmic continues to focus on sustainability through zero-emission initiatives and plastic waste reduction.
