Kaima Hiramasa earns 10th win with 160 km/h pitches

Seibu Lions pitcher Kaima Hiramasa earned his 10th victory of the season on August 25, leading his team to a 3-1 win over the Nippon Ham Fighters at Belluna Dome. Hiramasa pitched seven scoreless innings, recording nine strikeouts and maintaining a league-leading 1.46 ERA.

A highlight of the performance occurred in the sixth inning when Hiramasa recorded five consecutive pitches at 160 km/h to strike out hitter Arisono. The victory marks Hiramasa's first double-digit win season since 2023.

Keisuke Nakata provided the offensive support for Seibu, driving in three runs with a triple and a sacrifice fly. For the Fighters, starting pitcher Hiromi Ito took the loss after allowing two runs over six innings, while Kotaro Kiyomiya hit a solo home run in the eighth inning.
