Nippon TV announces 24 Hour Television domino challenge and marathon runner

Nippon TV has announced several major segments for the upcoming ‘24 Hour Television 49 - Love Saves the Earth -’, scheduled to broadcast from August 29 to August 30.

A large-scale ‘School Revolution! 24-Hour Domino Challenge’ will involve approximately 3,000 participants, including students and families from Nagareyama Municipal Koyama Elementary School. Members of Hey! Say! JUMP, including Yuri Chinen and Hikaru Yaotome, visited the school to surprise students and invite them to participate in the massive domino event, which will utilize handmade dominoes created by families at home.

Additionally, actress Mari Hoshino has been named the charity marathon runner. Hoshino stated she is running to raise awareness for her daughter, who lives with congenital myopathy, a rare disease that affects muscle strength. While the marathon serves as a central feature of the broadcast, discussions continue regarding the tradition of the event and its connection to viewership ratings and the presentation of emotional narratives.
