Nippon TV announces Shinya Ueda and Sho Sakurai for 2027 Rugby World Cup

Nippon TV has confirmed its broadcast coverage for the 2027 Men's Rugby World Cup, which will be held in Australia from October to November. This marks the network's sixth consecutive tournament broadcast since 2007.

Shinya Ueda has been appointed as the special MC for the fourth consecutive tournament, while Sho Sakurai will serve as a special supporter for the third consecutive time. The duo, who have worked together previously, will help deliver coverage of the matches, news, and highlight programs to viewers.

The 2027 tournament will feature a record 24 teams. The Japanese national team will be led by head coach Eddie Jones as they aim for a top global ranking.
