Nisarga Adhikary added to US Department of Justice Hall of Fame

Nisarga Adhikary, a 19-year-old security researcher, has been inducted into the US Department of Justice (DoJ) Hall of Fame for the responsible disclosure of a critical security flaw. Adhikary identified a major vulnerability within one of the DoJ’s largest law enforcement systems, which the department validated and patched within one week of his report.

Adhikary previously gained recognition for exposing flaws in the digital evaluation system of India’s Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Following those disclosures, he was recruited as an open-source intelligence (OSINT) and threat intelligence engineer by IIT Kanpur’s cybersecurity innovation hub, C3iHub.

In addition to the DoJ discovery, Adhikary reported a vulnerability involving a US Department of Defense system. He stated that the issue was validated, though remediation for that specific case is still ongoing.
