Nishan World Civilization Forum to promote cultural dialogue in Qufu

The 2026 Nishan World Civilization Forum is scheduled to take place in Qufu, Shandong, from September 28 to 29, 2026. Centered on the theme ‘Civilization, Order, Justice,’ the forum aims to promote inclusive coexistence among diverse civilizations and provide theoretical support for a more equitable international order.

As part of the forum's activities, a Sports Culture Forum was held on September 29 in Qufu, focusing on the resonance between traditional Chinese culture and the Olympic spirit. The session explored topics such as global sports governance, the modern transformation of traditional sports, and the construction of public order through sports culture.

International sports leaders, including representatives from World Aquatics and the International Table Tennis Federation, participated via video address. They emphasized how Confucian philosophies like ‘harmony without uniformity’ align with Olympic values of friendship, respect, and solidarity, serving as a bridge to connect different cultures and nations.
