Nismozza community gathers to rediscover local landscape heritage
In Nismozza, Ventasso, a community gathering was held to rediscover landscape features and strengthen the relationship between the local population and their territory. This initiative is part of the activities organized by the Osservatorio Locale per il Paesaggio dell’Appennino Reggiano, established by the Unione Montana dei Comuni dell’Appennino Reggiano.
Participants identified various historical artifacts and sites as common goods, including fountains, terraces, and the ‘Arpar’—a stone structure brought back to light through the project. The event included a walk along the CAI 663 path through an old chestnut grove, which served to reactivate community memories and stories. The day concluded with a communal discussion and a buffet prepared by the local community to further explore ways to value and rediscover other elements of the landscape.
