Nissa Rugby recruits Samoan international Iakopo Mapu

Nissa Rugby is significantly strengthening its squad following its administrative confirmation to compete in the Pro D2. The club has reportedly secured the signing of Samoan international flanker Iakopo Mapu from Stade Français.

Mapu, 28, brings experience from both the French league and the English Northampton Saints. Known for his power in contact areas and defensive scavenging, he is expected to bolster the team's pack.

His arrival follows a series of high-profile recruitments aimed at more than just avoiding relegation. Other notable additions to the roster include former All Black Francis Saili, French international winger Vincent Rattez, prop Étienne Falgoux, and Canadian second-row Evan Olmstead.
