Nissan ends Web3 membership service NISSAN PASSPORT BETA in October

Nissan Motor Co. announced that its Web3 membership platform NISSAN PASSPORT BETA will cease operations on 28 October at 18:00, ending a service that began in January 2025. Participants could use service‑issued tokens until 21 October 23:59, after which all remaining NFTs will be deleted. The program, which offered 5,523 limited‑edition membership NFTs, a proprietary Web3 wallet and a Discord community, was designed to test new customer interactions using blockchain technology.

As the service winds down, Nissan launched a finale project called KIZUNA HEARTBEAT on 5 August. The initiative lets users submit profile images, vehicle photos and comments to create a “KIZUNA NFT” that will remain on the blockchain after the main service ends. Tokens earned during the program can be exchanged for KIZUNA NFTs until 21 October, and additional digital items such as KIZUNA stickers and THANKS NFTs are planned.
