Nissan expands X-Trail lineup in Australia with hybrid variants

Nissan has expanded the Australian lineup for the 2027 X-Trail, introducing front-wheel drive e-Power hybrid variants. While this makes hybrid options more accessible in the mid-size SUV segment, certain configurations remain unavailable in the Australian market compared to Japan.

Specifically, the Australian market lacks the seven-seat versions offered in Japan. Additionally, while Nissan Australia has introduced a new Rock Creek grade, it is limited to petrol engines only, whereas New Zealand offers both petrol and hybrid options for that grade.

The current T33-series X-Trail recently underwent a facelift featuring aesthetic updates and new connected car services. This lineup expansion is expected to be the final major update for the current generation before a new model arrives in approximately 12 months.
