Nissan Fairlady Z facelift to include 6-speed manual for NISMO model

Nissan has announced updates for the Fairlady Z (Z) sports car, with the 2027 model year pricing revealed for the US market and a facelift expected in Japan by summer 2026.

A major highlight of the update is the introduction of a 6-speed manual transmission (MT) for the high-performance Z NISMO model, which previously only offered a 9-speed automatic. The Z NISMO MT version features a 3.0-liter V6 Twin Turbo engine producing 420hp, alongside specialized tuning for the clutch, gear shifter, throttle, and ignition timing. Performance enhancements include upgraded dual-piece alloy brakes inspired by the GT-R and a redesigned steering rack.

Design updates include a “G-Nose” style aesthetic inspired by the original S30 model, new wheel designs, and a new “Grand Prix Green” color option. The interior will also see updates, including a new brown color scheme. In the US, the Z Sport is priced at $44,480, the Z Performance at $54,480, and the Z NISMO at $67,260.
