Nissan GT‑R50 limited edition set for Tokyo auction, price may reach ¥155 million

Only 19 examples of the Nissan‑Italdesign GT‑R50 were ever produced. The model was created in 2018 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of both the GT‑R line and Italdesign, with an original plan for 50 units that was cut short by supply‑chain disruptions and a price tag near US$1 million per car. The hand‑built supercar retains the GT‑R Nismo chassis and 3.8‑litre twin‑turbo V6, upgraded to around 720 hp, and features an all‑new carbon‑fiber body with blue‑tinted internal panels.

Lot 59 of the GT‑R50 will be offered at the Bingo Auction in Tokyo on 20‑21 June. The car, serial number 17, has only 221 km (137 mi) on the odometer and remains unregistered. The auction house estimates a final sale price between ¥145 million and ¥155 million (approximately US$899 000‑$961 000). The right‑hand‑drive version is ready for Japanese roads or for a collector willing to pay a premium for its rarity.
