Nissan launches Interstar‑e Relax electric camper van with 408‑mile range
Nissan Motor Co., in partnership with German camper‑van specialist Eifelland, has introduced the Interstar‑e Relax, an electric conversion of the large Nissan Interstar‑e van aimed at full‑time camping use. The vehicle is offered with two battery packs; the 87 kWh option delivers a WLTP‑rated range of about 408 miles (≈657 km) and supports up to 130 kW fast charging. Power comes from a single electric motor rated at 143 hp and 221 lb‑ft of torque, giving modest acceleration but prioritising efficiency.
Inside, the camper is fitted with a compact kitchen, a double bed, under‑bed storage, a 90‑litre refrigerator, an induction stove and wood‑finished cabinets. All interior equipment runs on the vehicle’s battery, eliminating the need for external power hookups. The model is priced at roughly €89,900. The launch highlights Nissan’s move to provide a practical, spacious electric recreational vehicle rather than a purely design‑focused concept.
