Nissan launches third‑generation e‑POWER hybrid in Italy with 1,200 km range

Nissan announced the third generation of its e‑POWER hybrid system for the Italian market. The architecture drives the wheels exclusively with an electric motor, while a 1.5‑litre gasoline engine acts solely as a generator. A 55‑litre fuel tank provides a claimed driving range of over 1,200 kilometres without the need for external charging.

According to Marco Toro, President and CEO of Nissan Italy, the new e‑POWER reduces WLTP fuel consumption by 12 % to 4.5 L/100 km, cuts emissions, and improves acoustic comfort. The power output in Sport mode reaches 151 kW (205 hp). Nissan positions the system as a bridge for customers seeking electric‑like driving experience while retaining the convenience of conventional refuelling, supporting the commercial growth of models such as the Qashqai in Italy.
