Nissan Mexicana receives Aguascalientes Low Carbon Seal
Nissan Mexicana has been awarded the Aguascalientes Low Carbon Seal by the state government following the reduction of 1,463 tons of CO2 through various sustainability strategies. The recognition was presented during a ceremony honoring 20 companies and institutions for implementing emission reduction actions and adopting efficient technologies.
Key initiatives include the installation of a photovoltaic park at the Vehicle Distribution Center (VPC) of the Aguascalientes A2 plant, part of the global Nissan Green Program. Currently, more than 90% of the energy used in Nissan Mexicana's manufacturing operations comes from CO2-free sources, contributing to the cumulative production of over 3.9 million vehicles assembled with carbon-free energy.
