Nissan Micra earns five-star Green NCAP sustainability rating

The new electric Nissan Micra has achieved a five-star rating from Green NCAP, the highest possible score for sustainability. The assessment evaluates a vehicle's environmental impact across its entire lifecycle, including production, usage, and end-of-life disposal.

In the evaluation, which focused on the 52 kWh battery version, the Micra earned a perfect 10/10 for greenhouse gas emissions and a 9.3/10 for energy efficiency. It also received a 9.1/10 score for air cleanliness and was rated as having “good” performance in winter conditions.

The compact electric vehicle measures less than 4 meters in length and under 1.8 meters in width, making it suitable for urban environments. Nissan offers two battery options: a 40 kWh version providing up to 317 km of range (WLTP) and a 52 kWh version providing up to 416 km of range. The 52 kWh model supports DC fast charging up to 100 kW, while the 40 kWh model supports up to 80 kW. The vehicle features regenerative braking and Nissan's e-Pedal technology to enhance driving efficiency.
