Nissan Micra Gains Design Award and Social Leasing Offer in France

Canadian creative director Marc‑André Fauteux was named the winner of Nissan’s international “Elevate All‑New Nissan MICRA: The Signature Edition” design contest. Out of more than 1,000 submissions, his concept was praised for its organised simplicity and emotional impact, with Nissan Design Europe’s vice‑president Giovanny Arroba noting its bold and innovative expression of the new Micra’s character.

Nissan also announced a social‑leasing scheme for the Micra in France, beginning 16 July. The entry‑level Engage model will be offered at €139 per month without a down‑payment, targeting households with annual taxable income below €16,880. The vehicle features a 40 kWh battery delivering up to 317 km (WLTP) and includes a heat pump, rear parking sensors and a 10‑inch digital display. Higher‑spec versions with larger batteries and more power are priced up to €199 per month.
