Nissan NX7 crossover SUV revealed by Dongfeng Nissan
Dongfeng Nissan has revealed the NX7, a new crossover SUV developed in China that may eventually be exported to international markets including Europe and Australia. The vehicle is a production version of the Urban SUV PHEV Concept showcased at the Beijing motor show.
Technical specifications from Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology filings indicate the NX7 will feature a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain. This setup includes a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 73kW and an electric motor with 170kW of peak power, supported by a 40.9kWh battery providing up to 225km of range on the CLTC cycle.
The NX7 incorporates advanced technology, such as a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor for enhanced driver assistance systems. It is expected to share an 800-volt architecture with its larger sibling, the NX8, potentially utilizing CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries with 5C rapid charging capabilities. The vehicle measures approximately 4785mm in length and 1920mm-1932mm in width.
