Nissan NX7 PHEV SUV spotted testing in China
The Nissan NX7 PHEV, a mid-sized plug-in hybrid SUV developed by Dongfeng Nissan, has been spotted undergoing testing on public roads in Guangzhou, China, without camouflage. The vehicle is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Key technical specifications indicate the NX7 features a 40.95 kWh LFP battery capable of providing an all-electric driving range of up to 225 kilometers. It is powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and may include Urban NOA driving assistance systems and LiDAR sensors on the roof.
The NX7 is the fourth model in the N-series new energy vehicle lineup, following the N7, N6, and NX8. Its design is characterized by a sporty profile, a floating roof aesthetic, semi-hidden door handles, and a combination of 18-inch or 19-inch wheels. While primarily targeting the Chinese market, these models are part of Nissan's broader strategy to expand exports to international markets.
