Nissan NX8 SUV to enter Brazilian market with electrified powertrains

Nissan is expanding its product lineup in Brazil with the introduction of the NX8, a new SUV positioned above the Kicks model. Produced in Guangzhou, China, by DFM, the NX8 is the first SUV from the brand's N line and is transitioning from a China-exclusive model to a global offering.

The NX8 will feature electrified powertrains, including fully electric (EV) and Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) versions. The REEV variant utilizes a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo engine solely as a generator to charge the batteries, while electric motors provide the primary propulsion. Depending on the battery configuration, the vehicle offers varying ranges, with total autonomy exceeding 1,000 km when combining the fuel tank and battery.
