Nissan Qashqai shifts to hybrid-only lineup in Australia

Nissan has implemented updates to the Qashqai lineup for the MY26.5 model year in Australia, transitioning the model to a hybrid-only range. This shift coincides with the introduction of an upgraded e-Power drivetrain, which has reduced combined fuel consumption to 4.1L/100km and lowered CO2 emissions by nearly 18 per cent.

The update includes several pricing and specification changes. The flagship N-Design variant has been discontinued, while other models have seen price increases of up to $2,475. The introduction of the e-Power drivetrain resulted in a base price increase of more than $10,000.

Certain feature adjustments were made across the range. The base ST-L model lost its wireless phone charger and power driver's seat lumbar adjustment, while the mid-range Ti and Ti-L variants lost adaptive LED headlights and dynamic indicators. However, the Ti model gained 19-inch alloy wheels, and the Ti-L gained 20-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, the ProPILOT+ driver assistance suite has been improved to include adjacent lane vehicle detection.
