Nissan Motor announced that global vehicle production fell 6.8% year‑on‑year to 1.32 million units in the first half of 2026. Production in June 2026 declined 14.5% to 214,040 cars, with output in Japan rising 1.3% to 49,622 units while overseas production fell 18.3% to 164,418 units. The United States was the only market with strong growth, posting a 39.4% increase in June and a 24.2% rise in H1 sales to 303,677 units. By contrast, sales in China dropped 30.2% to 37,591 units and Mexico fell 18.6%.

Suzuki Motor introduced the updated XL7 MPV for 2026 at the Gaikindo International Auto Show in Indonesia. The model features a redesigned front end, larger 16‑inch alloy wheels, a 9‑inch infotainment screen and mild‑hybrid powertrains on two of its three trims. Priced from roughly 274 million rupiah (≈ US$400) to 330 million rupiah, the XL7 targets emerging markets in Southeast Asia, Latin America and Africa, with a possible launch in Vietnam later this year.
