Nissan revives Pixo name for new compact electric vehicle

Nissan is reviving the Pixo name for a new compact electric vehicle designed for urban environments. Developed using the Renault Twingo platform, the model will be produced at Renault’s factory in Novo Mesto, Slovenia.

The new Nissan Pixo features an 82 cv motor and a WLTP range of up to 261 km. It supports fast charging, capable of moving from 30% to 80% battery in 23 minutes. The vehicle is positioned to compete in the European market against models such as the BYD Dolphin Mini and the Geely EX2.

Similarly, the Renault Twingo E-Tech utilizes a 27.5 kWh LFP battery, offering a combined WLTP range between 251 km and 264 km. Both vehicles represent a strategic effort by the Renault Group to strengthen its presence in the small electric vehicle segment and counter competition from Chinese manufacturers through established build quality and competitive pricing.
