Nissan revives Terrano SUV and unveils new Elgrand minivan

Nissan Motor Co. is reportedly preparing a revival of its historic Terrano SUV. The company showcased a Terrano PHEV concept at the 2026 Beijing Motor Show, and analysts speculate the production model could share a platform with Mitsubishi Motors Corp.'s upcoming Pajero, positioning the revived Terrano as a full‑size, electrified crossover.

At the same time, Nissan has launched the fourth‑generation Elgrand minivan, the first complete redesign in 16 years. The new Elgrand features a high‑floor body, larger dimensions (4,995 mm × 1,895 mm × 1,975 mm), and Nissan’s third‑generation e‑POWER hybrid system with a 1.5‑liter turbo engine and twin‑motor four‑wheel drive. The interior adopts a Japanese‑inspired design with advanced digital displays and a 14.3‑inch dual‑screen infotainment system.
