Nissan Technical Centre supports Formula Student Spain 2026 as UPC teams compete

The Nissan Technical Centre in Barcelona (NTCE) will return as a Gold sponsor for the 16th edition of Formula Student Spain, held 1–7 August at the Circuit de Barcelona‑Catalunya. NTCE will provide service vehicles such as the Nissan Qashqai and Ariya, along with measurement equipment, to help university teams test and develop their race cars while strengthening links between academia and the automotive industry.

Four teams from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BCN eMotorsport, Dynamics UPC Manresa, Nova Racing Team and UPC ecoRacing – will take part in the competition. BCN eMotorsport will run an electric, autonomous prototype (CAT18x) that weighs under 200 kg, supported by Fractus‑UPC Deep Tech Hub for telemetry upgrades. Dynamics UPC Manresa will field its second electric car (DYN‑10) with improved reliability and weight reduction. The squads will also compete in events across Europe, including the Czech Republic, Germany and the Alpe Adria series.
