Nissan to debut new Skyline generation in December 2026

Nissan has announced that the next generation of its Skyline sports sedan is scheduled to debut in December 2026. CEO Ivan Espinosa described the new model as an “icon of speed” for the Japanese automaker.

The development process for the fourteenth generation was significantly accelerated, taking only 26 months. This efficiency is attributed to the extensive use of generative artificial intelligence and advanced digital tools throughout the design and production phases.

While official technical specifications have not been released, the new model is intended to focus on driver engagement, performance, and precision. The strategy involves sharing engines, platforms, and technologies with Renault to manage production costs. Although the Skyline has historical significance in markets like the United States under the Infiniti brand, the brand's exit from Europe in 2020 suggests the new model may not be available in that region.
