Nissan to reveal 14th-generation Skyline in December 2026
Nissan has confirmed that the 14th-generation Skyline (V38) will be officially unveiled in December 2026. The new rear-wheel-drive sports sedan is considered a key component of the brand’s revitalization strategy.
In a significant shift in manufacturing efficiency, the V38 development cycle was completed in just 26 months, more than halving the 55-month timeline required for the previous V37 generation. Nissan attributed this accelerated pace to the extensive use of artificial intelligence across design, engineering, testing, and production phases.
The company also noted that operational insights gained from its joint venture with China’s Dongfeng Motor helped refine these development processes. The V38 is expected to utilize an updated FM platform and will likely feature a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine, with transmission options including a six-speed manual and a nine-speed automatic.
