Nissan to showcase welfare vehicles at H.C.R. 2026 exhibition

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motorsports & Customization (NMC) have announced their participation in the 53rd International Home Care & Rehabilitation Exhibition & Forum (H.C.R. 2026), scheduled for October 7–9 at Tokyo Big Sight.

Nissan will showcase three welfare vehicles, including a concept model of the new Elgrand featuring a ‘Slide Up Seat.’ This concept includes an electrically operated seat that can rotate and rise outside the vehicle, controlled via remote to assist passengers with mobility challenges. The display will also include the Serena Chair Cab Slope Type and the Clipper Rio Chair Cab.

Separately, the new flagship Elgrand minivan has seen strong market reception, surpassing 9,000 cumulative orders since its launch. The updated model features a larger exterior, a ‘the private Maglev’ design concept, and an interior focused on a ‘private lounge’ experience with advanced dual-reclining second-row seats and high-visibility displays.
