Nissan to unveil new Skyline sedan in December 2026

Nissan CEO Ivan Espinosa has announced that the 14th generation of the Skyline sedan will be unveiled in December 2026. The new model is positioned as a symbol of the brand’s resurgence and will be produced at the Tochigi plant in Japan.

A key highlight of the project is the significant reduction in development time. By utilizing generative artificial intelligence and digital simulation tools throughout the design, engineering, testing, and production phases, Nissan has cut the development cycle from approximately 55 months for the previous model to just 26 months.

Espinosa noted that the company has drawn lessons from the speed and technological advancements seen in the Chinese automotive industry, specifically through its collaboration with Dongfeng. The upcoming Skyline is expected to blend traditional performance characteristics with modern digital technology.
