Nissan unveils third-generation Leaf Nismo

Nissan has unveiled the third-generation Nissan Leaf Nismo, scheduled for release in the Japanese market in January 2026. Built on a new platform, this version follows an ‘intelligent sport crossover’ concept, featuring significant upgrades in range, driving performance, and technology.

The Nismo variant includes specialized hardware such as NISMO-specific springs, stabilizer bars, and bushings to increase system rigidity and improve steering response. Aerodynamic enhancements include specific side skirts and a rear bumper equipped with a boat-tail shaped diffuser and an extended ducktail spoiler to reduce drag and increase downforce.

Interior upgrades feature Recaro sport seats designed to enhance driver connection. The vehicle offers four driving modes—Standard, ECO, Sport, and Personal—with the Standard, ECO, and Sport modes receiving Nismo-specific tuning. The Sport mode has been optimized for linear acceleration and is now referred to as ‘Nismo mode’.
