Nissin Foods releases cold-water rehydratable Cup Noodles

Nissin Foods released a new line of products called ‘Hiyashi Cup Noodle’ on July 20, 2026. The product line features two distinct flavors: ‘Spicy Kimchi’ and ‘Chicken Salt Lemon’.

Unlike traditional instant noodles that require hot water, these products utilize a patented ‘Cold Rehydrate Method’ that allows the noodles to be prepared using cold water. This technology results in a firm noodle texture suitable for cold consumption.

The products have gained significant popularity, leading to them being nearly impossible to find as they have sold out on Nissin’s online shop. Consumers have also noted that mixing the two flavors creates a unique third flavor profile combining chicken salt, kimchi, and lemon.
