Nissin Foods to open third factory in Brazil

Nissin Foods is expanding its operations in Brazil with the announcement of a third factory in Ponta Grossa, Paraná. The new facility is expected to begin operations in early 2027.

This expansion follows a strong fiscal year for the Japanese food giant, which reported global revenue of 788.1 billion yen (approximately R$ 29.2 billion) for the period ending March 2026. The Americas region accounted for 56.8% of the company's total global revenue.

In addition to the new manufacturing site, Nissin plans to expand its product portfolio in the Brazilian market. New instant noodle lines, including the “Na Ousadia do Japão” Cup Noodles and the Geki Korean-style ramen brand, are scheduled to reach retail points starting in October 2026.

Currently, the company's Brazilian operations produce 55 products for domestic consumption and 25 for export. The company already operates two plants in Brazil: one in Ibiúna, São Paulo, and another in Glória do Goitá, Pernambuco. Brazil serves as a significant hub for the company's international exports, which currently reach approximately ten countries, including China, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, and Colombia.
