Nissin Foods to release bottled Demae Itcho sesame oil

Nissin Foods is releasing a limited-edition bottle of its ‘Demae Itcho Secret Sesame Oil’ seasoning, responding to consumer requests for a larger format of the condiment typically provided in small packets. The product, titled the ‘Demae Itcho Secret Sesame Oil Seasoning Bottle Set’, will be available for purchase on August 26 through the Nissin Foods Group online store.

The seasoning is produced in collaboration with Kadoya Sesame Oil, a specialist manufacturer founded in 1858 on Shodoshima. The specific oil used for the seasoning was developed by Kadoya specifically for the Demae Itcho brand. The bottles will be filled at Kadoya’s Shodoshima factory.

The set is limited to 1,000 units and includes the bottled seasoning along with various Demae Itcho instant noodle products. It also features a recipe leaflet suggesting uses for the oil in dishes ranging from kimchi tofu to chicken ajillo and even sesame oil-scented ice cream.
