Nit de l’Art de Palma celebrates 30th anniversary

The Nit de l’Art de Palma, a major contemporary art event in Mallorca, is approaching its 30th edition this September. The celebration originated in 1997 after local gallery owners Xavier Fiol, Joan Oliver ‘Maneu’, and Bernat Rabassa were inspired by the Soho Gallery Nights in New York.

Initially organized through the Associació de Galeristes Independents de les Illes Balears (AGAIB), the event was originally held on the third Thursday of September to accommodate local schedules. It has since evolved into a significant fixture on the regional cultural calendar.
