NIT Rourkela's FTBI hosts startup and entrepreneurship workshop
The Foundation for Technology and Business Incubation (FTBI) at NIT Rourkela hosted a two-day entrepreneurship workshop on August 31 and September 1. Approximately 200 students from various local institutions, including NIT Rourkela, RIMS, and Kanak Manjari Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, participated in the program titled ‘From Idea to Investment: Unlocking GENESIS & GENESIS Investment 2.0 Opportunities.’
The workshop aimed to guide young innovators through the startup lifecycle, covering idea validation, market assessment, product development, and the transition from concept to scalable venture. A significant portion of the sessions focused on the GENESIS and GENESIS Investment 2.0 initiatives, providing details on eligibility, application processes, mentoring, and available funding.
Subrata Kumar Panda, President of FTBI, emphasized the role of academic institutions in fostering a culture of innovation through mentorship and infrastructure. Chiranjibi Samal, CEO of FTBI, encouraged students to utilize incubation resources to navigate the journey from idea generation to investment.
