Indian research and academic institutions announce 2026 recruitment drives

Several prominent Indian academic and research institutions have announced various recruitment drives for 2026. AIIMS Jodhpur has released a notice for 190 vacancies for Professor, Associate, and Assistant Professor roles across 40 departments.

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is conducting multiple hiring processes, including 43 Technician (1) positions across various technical trades in Delhi-NCR, Pune, and Mumbai, and five vacancies for Project Scientist and Senior Project Associate roles via walk-in interviews. Additionally, the CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI) in Gujarat is seeking a Project Associate for marine algae research.

Other educational and scientific organizations include the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), which is recruiting a Junior Research Fellow in polymer and nanotechnology fields, and the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) for paramedical staff. Furthermore, IIIT Hyderabad has opened applications for a new 12-week course focused on Agentic AI.
