Nita Ambani pledges Rs 21 crore to Assam flood relief fund
Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita M. Ambani announced a contribution of Rs 21 crore to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to aid families affected by the recent Upper Assam floods. The donation follows a multi‑sectoral response by Reliance Foundation, which has deployed experts, volunteers and material to provide food, public‑health services, emergency shelter and livestock care in the hardest‑hit districts of Sivasagar and Chara.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked Ambani on social media, recalling the foundation’s support during the COVID‑19 pandemic and praising the ongoing assistance. Ambani emphasized that Reliance Foundation teams, together with Vantara volunteers, are working alongside the state government to rebuild lives and restore hope for the flood‑stricken communities.
