Niterói awards 30 consumers through NitNota Cidadã program

The Niterói municipal government held a symbolic ceremony to award 30 consumers through the NitNota Cidadã program. This initiative encourages citizens to include their CPF on tax receipts to increase municipal revenue and combat tax evasion.

In this edition, 15 winners were selected from service tax (ISS) receipts and 15 from goods tax (ICMS) receipts. The top gross prizes reached R$ 20,000. Among the winners, Marco Antônio do Amaral Oliveira and Pedro Paulo Polly de Freitas both received gross amounts of R$ 20,000, with a net value of R$ 14,000.

Local officials, including Executive Secretary Felipe Peixoto and Municipal Revenue Subsecretary Vinicius Fundo, emphasized that the program helps fund public services such as health, education, security, and transportation. The program remains open for new participants, with future draws scheduled.
