Niterói expands NitBike shared bicycle system in Oceanic Region
The Niterói City Hall has expanded its shared bicycle system, NitBike, in the city's Oceanic Region by adding two new stations. These stations are located at the Camboinhas Roundabout, which offers 21 spaces, and on Estrada Francisco da Cruz Nunes, near the Itaipu Multicenter Shopping and the Integrated Public Security Center (CISP), which offers 16 spaces.
With this expansion, the NitBike network now comprises 65 stations throughout Niterói. The city currently maintains approximately 100 kilometers of cycling infrastructure. This expansion follows the previous installation of a station at Parque Orla de Piratininga and is part of a gradual plan to increase sustainable mobility and connectivity across different neighborhoods in the region.
