Niterói hosts club meetings and announces sports mentorship program

In Niterói, political candidate Fernanda Neves and former mayor Axel Grael met with representatives from the Association of Niterói Clubs at the Iate Clube Brasileiro. The meeting focused on the historical importance of nautical sports, the social role of local clubs, and the challenges faced by these institutions in maintaining community integration and preserving the relationship with Guanabara Bay.

Separately, the Niterói City Hall announced the selection of ten sports and social entities for the ‘Niterói Campeã’ program. These organizations will receive technical mentorship to develop projects and seek funding through the federal Sports Incentive Law. The selected entities include groups such as Niterói Basquete Clube, Niterói Rugby, and Niterói Vôlei Clube, all aimed at using sports as a tool for social transformation and inclusion in vulnerable areas.
