Nova Iguaçu hosts early childhood education and recreational exhibitions

Nova Iguaçu hosted the II Early Childhood Education Exhibition to celebrate National Early Childhood Education Day. The event, held at the Casa do Professor, showcased various projects, artistic productions, and pedagogical activities developed by municipal school units throughout the year. The exhibition focused on the theme “Cultures that play and experiences that move childhood,” emphasizing play as a tool to stimulate creativity, autonomy, and knowledge construction.

In a related initiative, the Professora Irene Silva de Oliveira Municipal School held the “Irene Compete” event. This program engaged students from early childhood through the 5th grade in traditional recreational activities such as dodgeball, capture the flag, and obstacle courses. The goal was to reconnect younger generations with physical games and social interaction, providing an alternative to digital devices while fostering teamwork and respect.
