Niterói police seek businessman accused of killing security guard
Authorities in Niterói are seeking the whereabouts of Marcelo São Paio do Nascimento, a 49-year-old businessman accused of involvement in the death of security guard Maximiliano Pina Júlio. Nascimento, the owner of the private security firm Flystar, is currently a fugitive with an active arrest warrant. He faces charges of qualified homicide, procedural fraud, and concealment of a corpse.
The crime occurred in February at the Horto do Fonseca. Investigations revealed that the victim, 41, disappeared after starting his shift at a Pesagro/Emater facility. Security footage captured the victim arriving at his post and showed two men later placing what appeared to be his body into a vehicle.
A second suspect, Bruno Cordeiro Gomes de Souza, was previously arrested in March in Itaboraí. The investigation utilized data from the Integrated Public Security Center (CISP) to identify the vehicle used in the crime, which was linked to a private security company.
