Niterói to establish exclusive Disque Denúncia base in October

Niterói will establish an exclusive physical base for the Disque Denúncia program in October. This new structure aims to enhance the capacity for receiving, screening, and monitoring information, while strengthening the mapping of occurrences and data sharing with security forces.

The initiative is a collaboration between the Niterói City Hall and the program through the Municipal Integrated Management Office (GGIM). It follows a significant increase in public participation; reports regarding incidents in Niterói rose by 36.5% over the last year, with 5,205 reports recorded between August 2025 and August 2026, compared to 3,813 in the previous annual period.
