Niterói to host 2026 Women's Supervôlei Cup

Niterói will host the 2026 Women's Supervôlei Cup from September 24 to 26. The tournament, which marks the opening of the national volleyball season, will take place at the newly inaugurated Arena Niterói in the city center.

The competition will feature elite Brazilian teams, including Sesc RJ Flamengo, Fluminense, and Dentil/Praia Clube. High-profile matchups are expected, such as the rematch of the last Superliga semifinal between Sesc RJ Flamengo and Dentil/Praia Clube, as well as the state classic between Sesc RJ Flamengo and Fluminense.

Local authorities, including Mayor Rodrigo Neves, stated that hosting the event aims to boost tourism, stimulate the local economy, and encourage sports participation among youth. The tournament is organized by Sportlab with sponsorship from the Niterói City Hall and technical endorsement from the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV).
