Nitin Nabin to lead BJP organizational drive in Uttarakhand

BJP President Nitin Nabin is scheduled for a two-day visit to Uttarakhand on September 9 and 10 to strengthen party organization ahead of the 2027 assembly elections. The tour begins in Haldwani, where Nabin will participate in a state BJP core committee meeting to discuss booth-level preparations and electoral strategies.

On the second day, the visit will move to Rudrapur, where Nabin is expected to address a gathering of former soldiers and engage in dialogue with the Sikh community. This outreach aims to solidify support among key social groups in the state.

The political movement comes amid a controversy in Haldwani regarding a ‘purification’ incident following a public meeting by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. The Congress party has been protesting and demanding an FIR, framing the issue as one of social justice and Dalit dignity. The BJP has dismissed these allegations, characterizing them as political attempts to divert attention from development issues.
