Nitori Holdings migrates core systems to Oracle Cloud

Nitori Holdings has successfully migrated its core systems from an on-premises virtualized environment to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to address processing delays. Previously, the company’s in-house demand forecasting calculations took nearly six hours to complete, often failing to finish before the start of the next business day.

By adopting Oracle Exadata Database Service and Oracle Cloud VMware Solution, Nitori reduced the demand forecasting processing time from approximately six hours to just 1.5 hours. This improvement allows for significantly earlier commencement of daily operations. Additionally, the company enhanced its disaster recovery capabilities, reducing the time required to switch to a DR environment from 12 hours to three hours.

The migration project was supported by SCSK, which managed the infrastructure renewal and application foundation, and Assist, which assisted with the database foundation. Beyond performance gains, Nitori reported that post-migration operational costs were approximately 80% of initial estimates.
