Nittetsu Kowa Real Estate begins testing Loki AI cleaning robots
Nittetsu Kowa Real Estate and JDSC have launched a demonstration project in Japan using ‘Loki’, a physical AI cleaning robot developed by Swiss-based Loki Robotics. The trial will take place in Nittetsu Kowa Real Estate’s own office buildings to test the robot’s suitability for Japanese building environments and toilet specifications.
The project aims to verify operational workflows, remote management systems, and the division of roles between humans and robots. To support this initiative, Nittetsu Kowa Real Estate Group and JDSC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SoftBank Robotics, which will assist with robot procurement and the provision of an operational foundation for remote verification.
By analyzing the data and operational expertise gained during this phase, the partners intend to develop a practical model for cleaning robots within the building management sector. They also plan to explore the potential for expanding these services to other facilities across Japan.
