Nives Celzijus engages lawyer linked to major Croatian affairs

Croatian singer Nives Zeljković, known as Nives Celzijus, has hired Zagreb-based attorney Tomislav Dumenčić to manage a legal dispute regarding real estate. The singer is seeking to protect her ownership interest in two apartments located in the Šestine neighborhood of Zagreb.

The properties are currently burdened by a mortgage of approximately 9.5 million Croatian kuna (roughly 1.26 million euros) stemming from previous credit obligations. While Zeljković previously won the right to half of the properties through the courts, the legal process to clear the mortgage remains ongoing. The debt, originally held by Zagrebačka banka, was taken over by the company B2 Kapital.

Dumenčić has drawn media attention due to his history representing high-profile clients and involvement in significant legal cases, including work for companies linked to businessman Milenko Bašić and former Croatian minister Ivan Paladin.
